Has anyone experienced difficulties with the charge coils or crank seals in there 85 VMAX. My sled starts and runs like a top until it warms up and then runs like crap sounds like on 1 cylinder smokes quite abit. The carbs fuel pump and compression are all good and i already tried a new coil? dealer doesnt think its the charge coil either because it runs..The choke cables arent hanging up either, Any advice would be appreciated. This is an awesome old sled i might add one of the better sleds in its day. Jeff

Handlebar Heater Coil Color Code/ Resistance Yellow-Black~ Blk/ 0.77 Ohm± 10%
Ignition Coil Resistance Primary/ Secondary 0.12 Ohm ± 10%/ 4.0 Kohm ± 20%
Source Coil Color Code/ Resistance Brn~Red/ 25 Ohm ±10% White- Red~ Red/ 10 Ohm ± 10%
Pulsar Coil Color Code/ Resistance White- Green~ Black/ 100 Ohm ±10%

Also check the Throttle override switches as that was the problem they had with the 85s .There was an update in 86 your sled may still have the old switches. I would bypass the switches and try that and see what happens.
