I would consider adding money to trade up to a CLEAN 2000-2002 SRX/SXR 700 !

To answer some questions...

Good
Straight running boards
Clean and Straight Radiator fins
Tight steering and T.S.S. knuckles
Oil injection is hooked up and working
Compression is around 125psi both cylinders
Track is not torn or ripped
Original unbroken O.E.M. windshield altough it has some fading
Front and rear suspensions were Completely dissasembled, cleaned and greased
New O.E.M. rear of rear shock and I replaced front shock with good used shock
New Paint on Hood
New rear compartment cover made from another original seat cover
New teather cord
New O.E.M. drive belt
New plastic seat bottom instead of plywood !
Everything is stock such as airbox, carbs, pipes ect.
Comes with original owners manual and complete tool kit

All plastic parts are in good condition altough some fading (Back to Black ?)

Bad
Running boards and feet holds need touched up (sides of tunnel and
decals are very nice)
Rear of seat (Caution Do not sit) area is cracking and I have another
panel that could be sewn on
Needs YAMAHA decal on front of hood and caution decals behind windshield
Belly pan needs touched up but, it is not all bent or crinkled, it is
mostly scuffed

Ps. I tried to show any defects.
