96 Vmax 600 Lighting issue

Hello, I have a 96 Vmax 600 which is an absolutely beatuiful sled, problem is my lights , all my lights keep going off, headlight, taillight, dash lights and tach, have stopped working several times. I have taken apart all the connections i can see and cleaned them and for whatever reason either the clean contacts or jiggling the wires has caused the lights to come back on. Now they have gone out and will not come back on. Does anyone have the specs and wire colors to test the lighting . Thanks Deekcoil on the stator? I have an extra stator that I was given when I bought it but not sure what it should test at

Bad ground, this site is more for v-max 540 and 81 SRX's man totallyamaha.com is more for the newer stuff but it sounds like you have a bad ground or a bad lighting coil crappin out.

check the brake light wire under the seat... we have seen them wear through and shortout... as far as stator resistances, yeah check totallyamaha.com
