taking off a track

How hard is it to take the track off the 81 SRX , im assuming i gotta take the chaincase and all that apart?? Is there an easy way around it? and what is the biggest size track i can use?

before you take anything apart see if you can get the set screws loosein the collars on the driveshaft they can be a real pita. the collar on the clutch side has to be slid over to get the shaft out of the chaincase wich allows u to drop it down and out of the tunnel those set screws are almost impossible to drill out. i think they are made of titanium
