Ok, as the title reads, just curious if anyone has put a triple in a vmax chassis (83+) before?
In 97 I raced for a guy that had a 81 SRX bottom end with VMax cylinders. It was raced in oval races in a Pro 5 Indy chassis. it was a triple configuration. Two cases welded together to make the triple. It ran 127mph in 1000' at speed runs
Now that i have got the bug for the Vmax chassis i am thinking of trying to get that engine and put into a Vmax chassis. Just thought it might be a lot of fun. Only thing is that there isnt as much room in the Vmax chassis as the old indy chassis it was in.
For its time, this engine was pretty trick. It had Dual plug heads and ran a electromotive crank trigger ignition.
Let me know if any of you have tried anything like this before.

Triple in the Vmax
Re: Triple in the Vmax
yeah i have heard of them, but im not really sure how they fit them between the frame rails.... the stator housing and pull starter barely fit in there as it is... if you do go thru with your plan your not gonna be able to trail ride you sled... youll be running no airbox, no oil injection which i quess isnt a huge deal but youll be on your own when it comes to guidance... there are somethings we can help you with but mostly everyone here and other places are running stock setups with slight tweeks, not extreme mods... tho i totally encourage them! hahaha let us know how you do it all
My airbox is held on by one screw, not because Im lazy but because it is less weight!
