Vent on crankcase??

Post by VMAXMARK »

I'm getting ready to install new pistons and I noticed some type of nipple on top of the crankcase that I assume is a vent.

Is there supposed to be a tube or something attached?

Yes, there should be tubing connected in order to keep dirt from blocking the vent. I have seen some ran up and zip tied around the top of the oil tank/radiator guard area.
