Drop kit on 94 V-Max 600

Post by JIM BROWN »

Hi everyone hope you are still sleddin. Has anyone installed the drop brackets on their v-max and if so are there any other mods that have 2 be done/ It sure looks like a good idea as the back end of mine sits real low...even with a new rear shock. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

Jim, you would need to drop both the front and rear mounts of the rear to keep the suspension flat on the ground. This would also, change the track aproach angle as it meets the snow.

Hmmmm.... just thinking out loud. Measure the center to center distance from the drive axle to the rear suspension axle and then draw a line on paper/cardboard. Next measure down how far the rear mount is dropped and make a mark. From that mark make a new line to the drive axle center and then drop the front suspension mounting hole to where it meets the new line which will be less the the rear mount was dropped ? The 2 lines would be V shaped. Anyone else feel free to chip in or correct my thinking ! :)
