Water in 84 VMax 540 oil gauge opening

Post by stetzerguy »

I have no oil gauge in the hole, but there is antifreeze coming out of where the gauge would be, is this normal? It will fire and run about 3000 rpms and slowly die out like it is running out of gas. I also need an oil gauge, if anyone has one.

oil guage??? you mean "low oil sensor"? how would antifreeze get in your oil tank?

unless you are refering to the dipstick... which also shouldnt have antifreexe on it...

i dont think it is EVER normal to mix your oil and your antifreeze hahaha....

im guessing you meant dipstick and you need to replace the waterpump seals...

i talked to him on the phone, chuck... im pretty much positve he needs a waterpump seal.... turns out the manual refers to the "dipstick" as a oil gauge... he is going to dig around in the belly pan and see if it fell down there...

also stetzer guy: i sent you a pm with the link for that waterpump seal thread
