This is a great starter sled. Snowmobile has 1,753 miles and is in great condition. Clean engine and excellent seat. I upgraded to an 800.

I have a 1983 Yamaha VMax. It has a rebuilt motor with new pistons and new jugs. NOT SLEEVED. The sled ran great but now needs the fuel pumps rebuilt and I just bought a new sled so I dont want to deal with it. Overall this is a great fun sled in good shape. Has a studded track and also comes with a cover. I also have many extra parts including a hood, track, spare seat, carburetors and more. I bought this sled about a year ago not running, cleaned it up a bit, rebuilt the fuel system (fuel lines, filters, carbs, fuel pumps, etc.) and got it running. Unfortunately though, when I was taking the carbs out to rejet, I dropped the choke slide (a little brass piece) into the intake and thus into the engine. The engine now won't spin completely around as that piece gets in the way. I haven't wrenched on it or anything, so it all still should be alright. I just don't have the time or desire to tear off the top end to find the piece, so I am selling it.

That aside, it is a pretty cool old sled. It was Yamaha's fastest sled back in the 80's with a liquid cooled, twin piped and twin carbed engine. It even has the retro pop-up headlight! It is kind of beat up, but when it gets running again, it would be a fun little sled to run around on. Let me know if you are interested and have questions. 1984 Yamaha V-Max 540. Engine was rebuilt a few years ago with less than 100 miles on rebuild. Currently no spark and I don't have the time to investigate. Looks good with a brand new hood. 4,6xx miles. $450

I will sell as complete sled,minus CDI box, otherwise in complete running order, or would consider parting out. Motor was refreshed 150 Miles ago. Its been sitting since cdi went out.Hood has cracks,and the Belly pan has dents.Stuuded track, studs are worn. Let me know.Also have additional set of carbs.
