Bought a 86' v-max

Post by chrisrider63 »

Hey guys bought a 86' v-max over in michigan. It is really fast!!!!!!!!!!! I took it out on the
farm when i first got it and you could tell the carbs needed cleaning. So that was done
along with some lubing and track adjusting but i was so excited to get it going that I put the tops of the carbs on backwards and it ran like shit. My dad was laughing at me cause he thought i bought a dog. So i brought it in the barn looked at it and noticed an "R" on the left top of the carb i changed it took it out and almost broke the sound barrier lol. I dont think ive had the thing wide open yet its too hard to hold on to. Goes from 0 to 80 at the drop of a hat. My dad took it out and loved it and quote "wants to take it out one night".

you dont have to tell me how bad they run with the slides in backwards!!! try having them like that for a whole season and not being able to figure out what the problem is!!! i wont make that mistake again!
My airbox is held on by one screw, not because Im lazy but because it is less weight!
