The pistons ring gap is 0.4mm Pistons are lubricated. The water pump gear is right mounted, what I can see. No strange sound ...

... That is not cheap to do, either. And you have to remember that the original pistons have cast iron rings to properly seat against the chrome bore. if you install a cast iron sleeve, you have to switch to chrome rings to work correctly.

What is a std bore piston worth for the 82 Srx 500?

... well. Head has some damage on one dome as well. Pistons are 78.50 motor number is 89U-001467. I assume the work was done by Spencer Sports Racing. Bore is not chrome plated and looks like it could be honed out. Would like $700 complete plus shipping. Maybe someone on here could enlighten me with ...

Measure the bore size, the 82 500 had 42mm venture & 44 mm bore size, the 81 had 38mm venture.

Ok. I will ask my dealer if he have any pistons in stock.

I used Rotax 670 pistons however its not a simple bolt in, the piston will need to be trimmed on the bottom and not sure is the head would need to be re figured. I made billet domes that slip in and out. Pictures in the My Projects section below.
