Hi,i know this is a vmax/srx forum, but i got tired of asking for help in the norwegian sledforums wich is ruled by 16 year old know-it-all's without a clue.

So,the problem being:
Bought a couple of psi twin pipes for my Ex 570,and mounted them with some minor problems solved with a hammer.Took it for a test run,and they realy made the old Ex fly like never before, and you got to love the sound of twin pipes with stingers :) .

Then to my question:Do i need to rejet the carbs with these pipes on,or will it run smoothly with no huge chance of f*cked up cylinders?it sounded like it was running lean on low rpm's,but wen it hit high revs it would run like it should

thanks for answers,as i said this was my las resort since im tired of forums only containing pubertal kids

i take it you bought the pipes used and they didnt come with any type of paperwork... my guess is that you will need to rejet, tho i dont have any idea as to what.... best guess is to read you plugs... check them starting at low rpms then go to mid and then high.... maybe someone else can give you better numbers

Okay thanks man,ill send him an e-mail

I gues i could check the plugs, but im not to interested in running the engine if it runs lean, since it has almost run 15000 kilometers without trouble..last time i had the pipes on i had realy old sparkplugs on,so no point in checking those

A friend of mine has aaen twins on his srv,and from wath the sparkplugs told,it ran perfectly, they had a nice brown color...but if i can get a better answer from those PSI guys,it would be better
i have to get i running smooth now that the snow has started to show!

thanks so much for the help guys
:)
