1987 Yamaha Vmax 540 for sale. Cosmetically is what I would consider better than average. Paint and decals are original and pretty nice still. Tunnel decals have been removed and paint stripped to bare aluminum. Seat is solid but Yamaha letter are long faded off. Track has less than two seasons on it, as well as the skis/red skins. Suspension was gone through at this time and new drveline bearings installed. Engine runs good and is stock (chrome bores still), Comet 108c clutch, still oil injected, still runs origianl airbox. The sled would be an excellent running, moving parts donor, or could be a restoration project. I will include a spare stator/flywheel, two sleeved cylinders, two spare (good) c.d.i boxes, spare coil, spare decent seat off an '86, a nice clutch side drop-down panel from an '83 and a factory service manual for the 540 Vmax. I will take some pictures with the digital camera this week and should be able to email them to serious buyers on the weekend. I live in South Western Ontairo, Canada, about 2 1/2 hour drive from Niagara Falls and about an hour from Detroit Michigan. I was going to advertise it locally but would rather see someone get it that is a Vmax enthusiast. I feel it's too nice to see it get destroyed by some punk. I thnk my price is reasonable at $650.00. Thanks guys. Feel free to phone if you want. I'm usually home after 6:00 at night. (519) 628-5842 Scott.
