This is what I was told is the hole shot lever. It keeps the suspension at a normal setting in the front, for a very good hole shot. Then as you come into a turn you press the lever down and it sucks the front end of the suspension up. That transfers more weight to the skis and it goes through the turns much better. That is all I know about it. Its a simple system. I love the sound of the pipes on this one. They sound so much better than my AAEN pipes. Brad

that is very intresting how easy does it operate? do you need to jam it to get it to work or does it operate pretty smoothly. Is that the sled that was in the adirodacks i saw on another website :?: that guy was a freaking engineering genius no wonder yamaha was working so closely with him in the design of their machines back in the day. very nice find on the sled. those pipes look pretty phat.

I looked inside the suspension to see how it operates. It is a very simple system. The limiter strap is attached to that shaft and to the front of the suspension (like normal). When the lever is depressed it pulls the front of the suspension inside the tunnel. I will take some pictures when I start to mount is in my other Bender (painted) sled. I mounted the pipes pictured in my Bender (painted) sled. I think they are stock pipes with no exhaust box. Then another 6" of pipe added on the end. The sound is about 3 times louder than my AAEN pipes. In my garage it is way to loud, but I will keep those on. Brad

These skis came off my 99 SRX 700, but I had the red ski loops. So, I just added them. The original skis need to be painted.
