Primary Clutch spring ?

Post by ThePipe »

What tension do I need for my 1983 540 for it to engage at 5,000 RPM
Back in the 90s I bought a spring for my 1986 that engaged at 5 grand but over the years my memory has slipped.

Thanks
Lee

hoffco comet has engagement specs listed on there site by cam arm to spring if your running N weights you'll never get there use B weights will net you 4900 a spring shim will get you about 200 more rpm
