According to the service manual stock secondary setting should be #4 hole with 240* twist and a yellow spring. High altitude setting is hole #1 and 270* twist, yellow spring. It says the available settings are
#1 - 30*, 150*, 270*
#2 - 60*, 180*
#3 - 90*, 210*
#4 - 0*, 120*, 240*
It doesn't say anything about a black/yellow spring but I have never seen an all yellow spring in a Yamaha secondary so I'm assuming that the "yellow" they are reffering to is the yellow markings on your spring. It also shows that 90* is not available in the #2 setting so I'm not sure what you have going there.

phil thanks for that secondary info it worked great i went with the stock setting and it launches great . and shiftsout good on top good all around setup. I put around 100 miles on it this weekend round trip. it worked awsome this 440 goes like hell.I still have it in the back of my mind that the motor is gonna grenade at anytime. from all the bad press ive read on the 81's but it worked great my buddies couldnt understand my fussing with this old srx. but when we all went out and they saw it run they wanted to ride it. they loved it..My wife says if i buy another srx she gonna leave me! im gonna miss her!
