Parting out 83 vmax, or sell whole

Sled was originally built for drag racing by the original owner, I was converting it for trail use. Would take quite a bit of work to restore, but if you just want a fast fun sled, this is it. Registered for the trail in PA. I put a total of 18 miles on it before it started leaking coolant from the gearcase.
Sled is complete EXCEPT it needs the famous water/oil seal in the gear case, which I have given up on ever finding.......if you have one, my loss is your gain.

Has 1" aggressor track, almost like new.

44mm carbs, not sure of any engine modifications but this thing absolutely SCREAMED before the coolant leak developed.....very fast machine.

Front suspension rebuilt with new Yamaha bushings.

Have brand new Bergstrom triple point skegs on it. ($120 new)

Sled does not look original--no original decals or paint, but bodywork in fair condition.

Brand new Sno-stuff windshield (smoke)

Has original pipes/can.

108c clutch, new belt.

If I can get $550 for it, I will sell it whole. Otherwise, feel free to make offers on parts. As I said it is basically complete, with the exception of some gearcase problems (needs seal/bearing).

Located in Allentown, PA.

If you are still parting out, I would be interested in the water pump shaft.

The site did not let this individual down. I have an 83 I did the seal conversion that Chuck came up with from Erie Bearing and has worked good so far. About 200 miles on it so far and hope for more if we get some snow. Thanks to this site and the great people that run it, my 83 came from buckets to being on the trail this year.

i would take the windshiel if your parting it out
