Pulse Pipe Material

Post by Donnie »

Hey everyone.

I am in the process of putting the finishing touches on my '83 Vmax engine rebuild after the stuck thermostat melted down the left piston. When I took the engine out of the sled, the right side pulse pipe to the fuel pump cracked down near the engine block. It is now too short to reach.

What material should I buy from the local Advance or AutoZone to replace that hose?

Thanks

Don

Hey again. Does anyone have any ideas for the pulse pipe material. I am hoping to put the motor back in this weekend.

Thanks

Donnie, on mine it just looks like normal polyurethane fuel hose (don't know if that is original, but it works!). Not sure of size, maybe 1/4 or 5/16? Cut a piece off and take it with you. If Autozone doesn't have it, I'm sure any powersports dealer would have it.

Wish you luck--I'm in the process of getting mine ready for the season, and I am having trouble finding a couple of parts.
