SRX Pistons Interchangea.

Hello. I wonder if anyone know if the Wiseco Pistons made for the 78-80 SRX 439cc 69.00mm .50 over.will fit SRX-81 8M6 Cyls. without Mod. There is an SRX439cc (500) motor for sale on Ebay Right know it seems that it use the Vmax540 Pistons in 73.50 Bore. Thank You Michael

The answer to your question is no! The 76-80 SRX had a bore size of 68.5 MM & the 81 SRX had a bore size of 66 MM, but the Vmax pistons will fit in the 76-80 model if you overbore the cylinders to fit the bigger pistons. You can overbore the 81 cylinders to fit the 68.5 mm bore ,but it would be easer and cheaper to just use vmax cylinders ,pistons , and head.
