I've got em both 81 440 and Vmax 540 boxes. I'm assuming that you will want a 540 box. $25 US with carb boots and clamps plus shipping which is a pain to Canada with all the paperwork the post office wants filled out. I'm in Wiscinsin so if ya can't find one cheaper and closer PM me your address with postal code and I can find out what shipping would be.

Good Luck, Phil (opsled)

Wow, thats a lot of parts, probably everything I need.
In addition to the air box could you also set me up with a good set of 540 carbs ( Mikuni VM38s I think) and the lock down nut for the choke lever?

Why Thank You, I try to keep myself up. It's alot of work and it's nice when someone notices.

Yea, I must have some Yamaha hoarding disorder. There is a row of Exciter 340/440's that is longer and a bunch of others up there. Probably 50 sleds or more. There are a couple Vmax's here that could be restored but it would be more time and money than you could buy a good one for so these a mostly parts sleds. I've got enough parts to build a real nice 81SRX but again for what Jon has been selling some of his for I would be farther ahead to buy one from him. So the bottom line is, yes parts are available to anyone that needs them. Your best bet is to give me a call if you need something and I let you know what I have. (262-767-9023)

My oldest son has always wanted a nice 81 to ride but also would like a longtrack with a widend ski stance. Being that the 81 440's arn't the freindliest trail engines we were going to build it with a 540 but I have found a 93 Exciter SX that was rolled preaty hard and has a 136" mountian kit on it so we are planing to marry it with the best 540 chassie I have and use 81 hood and side panels. It should be a very interesting sled as the SX had great power, adjustable front struts and better rear suspension. I have seen an 81 with a 136 kit on it and it looked real tough. So one of the chassies I have is going to be a donor for that project but everything else could be had.

Could you furnish me with a 540 airbox / carb boots and a pair of good 540 carbs (mikuni Vm38)?
