Just curious on what brand of compression tester can give the most accurate reading? I'm planning to get a new one and I saw the bikemaster compression tester at
http://4wheelonline.com. I found a cheaper one in a local auto parts store, but not sure if a non-branded is reliable.

Daily, I use calibration equipment to check accuracy and seldom see a big difference except in long term use when quality comes into play.

I don't know, I've used the same one for 30 years

I have quite a few sleds, usually check them at least the ones I drive every season,. take notes. The actual number isn't important to me as long as its not dropping from where it was.
On my gauge I know that a good number with cut heads is 150, A driver, I'm happy at 125, if its below 110, its coming apart.
