For Sale 1985 VMAX 540

I have a very nice condition 85 VMAX that we are looking to sell. Bought it from a local person we know that had it from brand new. He hadn't run it in several years and ran some bad gas through it resulting in a total burn down. Parked it and lost interest. We bought it and did a complete overhaul of the motor all genuine Yamaha parts and re-chromed the cylinders. Stuck close to $800 in motor. Crank was checked and brought back to allmost perfect specks well within Yamaha specks. Rest of sled was in very good condition. He had pulled some studs through original track and replaced it with original back in 1994 and put on maybe a 100 miles before he burnt the motor down. Went through all of the fuel system including carbs and fuel pumps to get all of the bad gas out of system. Replaced needle and seats and had to put kits in both pumps. Pumps diaphrams were all but gone on the tank side from bad gas. Ran sled at Waconia two years ago and took on vintage ride. Ran perfect and didn't overheat like our 81 did during vintage ride but on the lake didn't hold a stick against the 81. Motor probably isn't even broke in yet. Took a couple of tanks before the 81 woke up. Picture is of sled at local show a month ago. Just a few added notes. We are located in Bismarck, ND but do get out to MN ofter. I am going to post more pictures tonight and a link to a video if it wont post. We had started out a $3000 with factory cover but lowered to $2800 with cover or $2500 without factory cover.
