Best pipes for the v-max are the stockers...Here's a pipe test from 1987 done by jim @ dynotech..The AAEN pipes actually lost h.p. and tq....

THAT TEST IS THE REASON WHY DYNO- TECH WAS STARTED. I STILL TAKE A SET TO THROW ON FOR VINTAGE SHOWS. I DID KNOW STOCK WAS BETTER. THANKS FOR POST. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Tony is a Yamaha sled dictionary of knowledge, i saw the post and thought he had some race sled geared up.
