thanks and yes the one in the corner is being done next I just sent out my cylinders to CVTech to get re Nikasil now i am just waiting for them to be done then gonna start building the 540 motor for it but i need to now what rings to use for the nikasil i got alot of chrome bore rings but i was told to use cast iron rings what would happen if i used the chrome bore ring? would i wrecked the cylinders?

if i am correct "chrome bore rings" should be cast iron... from what i understand if the bore is chrome(or nikasil) you want to use cast rings, if the bore is cast you want to use chrome rings

the bore is nikasil but i have alot of chrome ring that are for chrome bore i want to no if i can use these rings in nikasil what would happen if i use these rings??? would it wreck the cylinder????

To be safe maybe it would be best to call and talk to CVTech technications ?

Makes sence it would be the same as used in a chrome bore where both surfaces are very hard.

yeah i think nikasil is just cheaper and easier, thats why people are using it more now a days, its still hard like chrome
