i have a v max frame but the crank in the motor is in pecies i also have a 81 srx motor but i dont have carbs and some other pices are not there. it will also need pistions.
so i was wondering in if i can put the 540 jugs on the 440 bottom end.

Yes you can ,just make sure you use the V max head also. The only thing is the Vmax crank & cases are a lot better then the Srx ,that was the Srx weak link, I would find a Vmax crank ,you will be a lot better off!
