I think Delaughter sells those shafts. I have a Polaris secondary on my Vmax they are a Big step forward in performance compaired to the Yamaha ones. I know I know I am not a Polaris fan either but they do make a good clutch.

I made my own shaft. All I did was take a Yamaha shaft and cut the clutch end off just inside of the bearing, take a Polaris shaft and cut it off about 5 inches longer then what I cut off of the Yamaha shaft. Turn down the Polaris shaft about 5 1/2 inches so it will press inside of the Yamaha shaft as it is hollow. Leave about 1/2 in separation of the two and weld it together then turn down the weld so it is smooth. The press fit will keep it centered and take all the torque and the weld will just keep it from coming apart,Yamaha on one end and Polaris on the other..I did this to mine 10 years ago and haven't had a single problem with it. Any machine shop can help you with it. Go to any auto shop and they can get you a bearing with a 1 inch inside diameter to match , I think I have the part # for it in my notes if so I will post it on here. The Polaris will give you more bottom end as it is larger and the better efficiency of the Polaris clutch will give you better all around performance.
