83 v max no start...

Engine just pops wont start,seems to be firing only on one cylinder,,,any help would be appreciated. 
well we have to start somewhere. Has it been running or is this the first time this year? new gas and plugs?. Have you done a compression test.. Are one or both plugs wet when you try to start it. do the plugs show spark when you ground them and pull it over?
Give us some where to start.
