Plus whatever running time the engine had idling or checking.It doesn't take long to ruin parts if there is not enough oil getting to them.

Yes it could. What part of the piston has the damage, top, ring area or skirt?

Its the exhaust side of the piston on the front of it on the skirt, and its gonna snow all week!!

Yeah that makes a seriously lean condition.... I'm suprised the compression would be the same tho???? Now comes the shitty part...you really gotta tear into the bottom end to make sure it is all cleaned out and the bearings are good...

If its just scuffing on the skirt, and didn't do damage to the rings or ring land area, you may be able to just hand sand down the high spots and clean up the piston.

If you have detonation damage, do as Tyler said, if its just scuffing, and the piston isn't burnt, I would check the bore very good. Mic the piston and measure the hole with a bore gauge, have a shop do it for you if you don't have one. Maybe your lucky.

Got the VMAX running like a top now my arms/hands are still sore from riding last night and barely being able to hold on. Thing runs great now I sodered all the wires used to connect the 81 stator and the 81 SRC coil and she runs amasing. The light is nice and bright and running awesome, thanks for the help guys and for the great site Chuck and Tyler id be lost without it.

Thanks Tyler, I got a clutch and I dont know what the hell its off of CHuck said a phazer. the number on the back of the face plate is 8R 600 and its a yamaha clutch.
