102C Clutch with rear oil seal

Post by fastcar01 »

I am looking to use a 203800A clutch. It comes with an oil seal on the back side. Can I just remove this seal and use the clutch? WIll there be any other changes I need to make to the clutch?
Thanks

Yeah it is one fo the clutches listed in the 102 vs 108 thread. Teh only difference stated is where the taper starts (.140 vs .245), so as long as the seal is not an issue you should just sapce teh secondary out .105, assuming that is OK.

OK I picked up a clutch with the seal (the one in the 102 vs 108 links 208300A). It looks like it will work just fine, I think the seal will not matter at all. I did talk with Don at CPC (the saem Don that used to work at Comet), he said you can simpli unscrwew the seal, but I don;t even think it matters. I just need to reset the offset.
