81 SRX AAEN pipes?

This guy has a set of 81 srx AAEN pipes for sale and says they add 10 horse, just wondering if this is true or not because if it is ill look at buying them.

There may have been but, I have never heard of 81 SRX pipes made by AAEN. Maybe they are Vmax pipes made by AAEN ? Either way check out the pipe test in the Articles section. If you were to put them on a Vmax you would need the 81 CDI, clutching and jetting.

AAEN did made twin pipes both for the -81 SRX 440 and the -83 Vmax 540 But they advertised them in their Performance Catalog. As SRX1981 StageVI- Wild Pipes.
Full Modified Racing Pipes with straight stingers give 105 HP at 9750 Rpm when used with 44 Carbs and wild porting Part # Y-11006

As for the Vmax They offered two different Pipes first the stage 1 Quiet Performance pipes specially tuned to pull 10Hp at 8750Rpm that have multi-stage diffusion cones to improve top end power. Gives a weight savings of 10lbs over stock. Part # Y-11050. They proved to gain zero over stock you have the information here in the site.
second there were also a set of wild race Pipes Tuned for all out drag racing or speedruns these pipes should give more HP at higher Rpm (9500) Should be used with 44 carbs and porting Pipes were unsilenced with straight Stingers Part # Y-11056. This information are taking from the AAEN 1982 and 1983 Parts Catalogue.

So are they unsilenced with straiht stingers the Pipes you have looked at

105 hp and 44 mil carbs, doesnt sound very trail ridable to me lol. and sounds very expensive. But how would i know they are the 81 pipes ill post a pic.
