another yamaha project

Post by agfirecat »

I recently picked up another sled for my son . it cost me three hours of my labor .I was looking for something for my 12 yr old . he helped my quite a bit on my srx and wanted something we could fix up together that would be his. now the guy could not find the registration so he could not tell me what yr it was and im thinking someone here might be able to help its a 1st gen phazer but i could not find one on the net like it . the chassis has 83v on it. it also has a bender pipe on it. any help would be appreciated thanks.

Great Idea, nothing like a father and son working on a project together , that is something that neither one will ever forget. I believe 83V is a 1995

If I could, I have a favor to ask, Would it be posible to take some close up pic's of the sway bar. Would like to see how it attaches to the ski and the link on the side.
I have two sleds that I would like to build one for, A VM and a SRV. I also not sure how they did it with the knee action towards the front. Bob

Thanks for the pic. I don't see why the lower end of the up right bar couldn't bolt to the lower knee action bolt. I guess a good question would be, why did they move the NA to the back on some sleds?

Yes, the Phazer had the 116" track up until 1990 when it got the 121". The Vmax's always had the 121".
