I'm restoring a 1983 Vmax. The hinge part of my gas tank broke off were the gas cap lifts up. Will try to glue it back on with opoxy but in case it doesn't work does anyone out there have a spare gas tank they'd be willing to sell.??

Try using the original JB weld. NOT the 5 minute type.
The old stuff is the only thing I have used that works on gas tanks.

Mine was broken when I bought the sled, used the JB weld stick-- worked like a charm. I also used it to repair the broken headlight bracket.
