Is there a middle ground anymore?

A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have.

Is there a middle ground anymore?

Post by Bob Vehring »

As I watch my face book friends, people I know, etc, it seems the sides are sharply divided. With the popularity of social media today Is there more and more pressure to side up rather then possibly picking views on particular issues which maybe less mainstream?
I would say I'm pretty conservative, hate Obama, the only use for Hillary is as a target. on the other hand was against the V-war, not the soldiers, the war, don't hate Jane. Think many soldiers are heros, but certainly not all. We need to protect the forest and the trees, so that we can use them.
Immigration is a hard one, my grandparents came over, same with Wendys Dad Just about everyone came here from somewhere. But it has to be done right, not the way it is now and I will not learn to speak fucking spanish.
So whats that make me?

... well Mr Vehring, I got some Very bad bad news for You ... judging from the issues Ya mentioned, and with the standards set today You are a hardcore Right wing extremist ... from da word Go too ...

... unless Yer willing to give up Yer car, home, electric and heat along with half Yer income and diet there is little hope for You ... unless Ya happen to own a firearm, if this is the case then we're talkin' total re-education camps ...

... hey Seriously there will be many that'll scratch the k-noggin' with You on this today ... I too am a Descendant of Legal Immigrants, as my Busia (Grandmother) immigrated here within the early 1920's ... They had little money yet full of Dreams, and away They went ... LEARNED the LANGUAGE, went thru the proper avenues of LEGAL CITIZENSHIP and got JOBS ... NEVER accepted handouts, and They asked for nothing but a chance ... and low n' behold All was Great ...

... many decades later, such similar views and values are considered absurd ... I can't make excuses for myself yet this is what makes me wanna scream day in and day out ... I mean seriously, wha' happened ... and yeah VMax I know, barak hussein is what happened ... man, it's like a typhoon or cyclone has swept the Nation ...

... all I can say is, we've got many pieces to pick up to piece this puzzle back together again, and deep down I do believe that we're gonna do it too, there's just way too many Folks today that are asking these same questions ... it shows in the past two Elections too ...

... question is, are there enuff of us left after this crazy amnesty deal ... I'd say Yes ... there's No reason why we as Americans should be ashamed of our Heritage, nor should we be ashamed of our Resources ... and there certainly isno reason to give away the entire store as an act of appeasement ...

... Hang in there Mr Bob ... and in all seriousness, Congratulations, Yer Normal ...

... Mr Bob, I gotta add sumthin' here, and I'll do so aside from my usual dry sarcasm ...

... I'm really Not a political junkie, and I have no intentions of getting involved with politics other than casting my Vote. My pov is based around one thing, Freedom ... it's a Great thing, and I consider myself as luckie to have what I have today. Did so thru pure hard Work and a little luck here n' there.

... You mention the social media, and possible pier pressure for many to adhere strongly to one side ... You are correct imo ...

... but also, my take, and as an imo, something's happened to us over the years, and I can pin-point it to one thing, radicalism. Todays "movement" is being called progressive, yet it bears little resemblance to the 1st true progressives, FDR and T. Roosevelt.

... imo what we see today started within the late 60's, radicalism ... it's a direct offshoot of the works of saul alinsky, an alleged community organizer based out of chicago. hillary finished her College thesis as based on his garbage, and barak is a huge fan as well ... barak takes it a step further, as he believes he's the seed of his father, planted so as to pick up where dad left off, taking down America ... his father Hated America and all we Stand for.

... this might all sound nutts, but, so does the phrase "a white mans greed runs a world in need" ... straight from baraks book "dreams of my father" ... alinskys book "rules for radicals" was self dedicated to his interpretation of the 1st radical, lucifer ...

... needless to say, when a leader stands before a Nation and preaches income inequality and wealth re-distribution, again and again, many accept the notion, knowing little of what lies ahead ... and what lies ahead if we remain on this course will make socialism seem as freedom ...

... radicalism leaves no middle ground, either we accept it or we're the ones called radical for our preference of American Freedom ... imo, what we see today, is a civil war of sort, a mass attempt at stomping out Traditional Values. It's either their way, or we're the ones that are absurd ... almost like, a societal cleansing of sort ...

... and the more we reject the notion of radicalism, as with the past two Elections barak just picks up the pace ... amnesty came right after last Novembers Public rejection of radicalism ... immediately after the Elections barak went onna speech tour, hitting up High Schools and College Campuses ... he even went so far as to visit Lawrence Kansas, Home of Bob Dole, a deep seated Republican territory ... it's as tho he's declared war on American Heritage.

... as You've found, many are eating this all up ... and it's either their way or the highway ... but many are also awaking and flatly rejecting this all ... I try to speak to the Younger crowd as often as possible, just to feel out the pov's and many there see this as well ... there's a Great outlook imo, if we All stick together and Stand for Heritage, and most importantly Morals.

I don't believe that America will stand for socialism, let alone radicalism, we all want Prosperity, as in a House, car, Job etc ... radicalism has yet to be implemented in any Nation, and in nature it cannot possibly succeed without anything short of an all out repeat of a french revolution ... the wheels have been turning in this direction, yet in time the wheels are gonna fall off da bus ... radicalism and entitlements cannot possibly self-sustain, and we're gonna find this out inna short while ... baraks throwing a party that keeps many entertained yet someone has to eventually clean the mess.

... it's gonna come to an end soon enuff imo, and as mentioned America has been pushing back within the last two Elections ...

... in the meantime, here's a link that I found on alinskys works as it applies to todays "movement" ... I suggest to NOT take this as serious, yet if Ya look it over even quick-like You'll see what I mean ... it's pretty perversed, and it's all about self-indulgence, no regard for the Neighbor so to say ...

http://www.crossroad.to/Quotes/communism/alinsky.htm

... check out section #2) along with the tactics in section #7) ... and this is why, there is No middle ground today.

... Sorry Guys, to drag that out, yet that's my take on this all ...

Bob, I have long believed most Freedom loving Americans although divided on a couple issues want the same. Dividing the masses into friend and foe works to organize and bring together your forces and therefore power. Play like you are in the middle, follow his rules, become the next president (H.R.C.), all the while getting closer to your end goal.

... Ya know, it's kinda fun to look into these older threads so's as to gauge our own societal degradation ... especially after ole barry has really laid in with the "community organizer" approach toward societal decline and public mind-rot ...

... so just for "fun" let's re-introduce this here topic de' thread ...

Q) - ... is there a middle ground anymore ..??..
