Yes a exciter 570 will work but there is some Modding to be done if u use a exciter 2 engine

it sounds to me like maybe the floats are out of adjustment

i would start by pullin your carbs and cleaning them thourally check and make shur the needle and seat work properly and check to see if your floats float or not if so then they are probably just outa wack

i took 1 out of a 94 polaris xc 500 worked great the right length are you saying that if i get one from a 94 polaris xc 500 that it will fit the yamaha gears in the chaincase?!? because that would be totally awesome.... i know delaughter does sell them but they are really expensive... and like ever...

i took 1 out of a 94 polaris xc 500 worked great the right length and size spline keep in mind with adding the overdrive secondary u might need to change your gearing as well i was able to go up 3 teeth on the top gear withou loosing bottom end

so far all ive used it for is ice drags its set up for oval racing yet and they don't do much of that around here any more but the i-500 is coming up fast this motor makes unbelivable smooth power range i only have about 4000 rpm usable power the way its setup clutch engages at 5200 so the m-10 will...

hey guys a few years back i picked up a 85 v-max that was used as a oval track sled so its had a verry hard life well the motor was suposed to be fresh .60 over but as ive found most of the time peps talk trash so i pulled it apart it's 77mm bore way over .60 over!! who ever ported it did a exellent...
