Coolant System Refill Process
Hi Guys, I just changed head gaskets/O-Rings on my 87, and I need to refill the cooling system. I'm thinking of the following. Slightly elevating the front of the machine, letting it run while filling the radiator, and keep filling until the rear heat exchanger is warm and the level stabilizes. Am I...

Thanks again for all of the responses. The manual calls for Yamaha Grease.... is that like simple white grease????
Again many thanks!!!

Hi Guys, Startron is a fuel additive and I add it to every tank, jug, whatever... last year Maine went to Ethanol and many sleds were burning down. Just add the startron, or the blue marine stabil and you should be good to go. I use 93 octane in my max's. My carbs stay clean, in fact, this was the f...

Re: 86 snowflap in "your vmax" section
I just looked at the new photos of the 86 & 87 vmax's that George has (sweet looking BTW!!!). I'm wondering one thing. I noticed that the "YAMAHA" lettering on the 86 snowflap is gold in color. Not white. Is that stock? Were they like that new? Was that a custom touch? Or is that just...
