i wish i could say i wasnt going to i wish i wasnt but we bring the sleds up north and i agree with you it should not be ridden at all and i agree it belongs in a showroom.

thanks bob took along time to get the sled looking like it is now this sled was in a wreckers wrecked and we did everything to save her huge differnce from what it looked like back then to now.

here are some pictures of one of my 1981 srx all finished up and restored from top to bottom had everything powder coated alot of welding work had to be done to the frame also had to fix some of the welds that it had from before and then polished all the alluimenum parts tunnel cylinders ports both ...

well it got to the point were everything had to come part i had to reinforce the front end weld up some cracks that i have noticed on the frame i fixed up alot of welds then made the front end alot stronger then before so since everything is apart i might as well paint everything and do another rest...

here are some pictures i took while i took both my 81s up north to the cottage last weekend

if the cylinders are stock chrome you will need 8m6 pistons and rings,
you can find them here or eBay.
you can use aftermarket pistons and rings in re-chrome cylinders or steel sleeved,
I put 540"s vmax motors in mine.
all my 440 parts, new and used are in boxes and willing too sell.

well got my wish last weekend i finally got snow and to take out both my 81's SRX'S out for a day' of riding during the big snow fall we just got both sleds ran great and strong and amazing and lots of power happy i got to take them out this year
