i have 2 brand new pistons that are for a 540 L/C and on the top of the piston is in graved CDM and the ring that are for chrome bore says CDM is that piston only for chrome bore rings nothing else? can i use cast iron bore rings on these piston?

Is it getting stuck on opening or closing ? I always place my hand on the cover when opening as to not allow the cover to slam open and gently push down on the cover After the lever is pushed down when closing the light.
