81 SRX Jetting

Post by VectorBoy »

Nedd a ruff idea were to start with the jetting on my 81 SRX. Does not have the stock carbs on it, has 38mm Mikunis ( power jets from 84 V-max ) and was wondering were to start with main and pilot jets. Everything else is stock as far as I know. Thanks. :?:

I'd say the same as Tony ! Possibly, a little richer pilots for starting out ?

I finally got around to installing the 340 mains and took it out for a spin today. The thing seemed to run very fat but it was also 33 degrees outside. Going to test it again when it cools down again. Does this sound correct to you guys? Will the warm temp effect it that much? I want it set up for colder temps. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Big difference between 34 and a normal riding temp like let's say 24 degrees, so I'd say wait and test when the temp goes down.
