piston compatibility

Post by smoknbs »

Has any one looked at the 600 vmax pistons as to pin location to top , ring pin location to ports and skirts as to boring out a 540 , the reason for is I have a pair of cyl that are 1.5 mm over but dont ' true ' a lot of shiny lines vertically like its not bored round , the stock 600 piston is .3 mm bigger than the 1.5mm oversize might be the cheapest way to save them other than new sleeves steve

Steve, altough I do not know 600 pistons it would be interesting to know. Maybe, Wiseco could have an answer as to if any other piston could be fitted.

Check out Bobs big bore (Voodoo Vmax) in the project section. Do some searches others have done 600's.
