Just trying to help keith and as you can see speed agrees with me. I know you put a lot of money into the project but if you sold the bottom end for $2000 it would finance half of your project.

Is it possible that someone just stamped the serial number on a updated 81 case? The 81 cases that had the crank update came with no serial number. As you can see the R and the T are not perfectly aligned and that may be what makes it a correct 500 case, i dont know. I just know that with just a plain surface and a set of punches, it wouldnt take much to make that happen. Hope it is a real one.

i just checked the oil pump and the number on it is 8R9 that came with the motor.
