We parked at 4100 feet up Naches pass yesterday. The first quarter mile was slush over ice. By 4500 feet, the trail was covered three feet deep with corn snow. It was like riding a snow cone. When we got up to 5000 feet, there was two inches of heavy wet snow on top of the corn snow.

The orange stake at 0:21 is 10 feet tall above the meadow.

The snow line was the same as last weekend. There was four inches of new snow in the pass and 12 inches reported on the top of Pyramid Peak. The snow gets pretty wet in the afternoons and then freezes again at night.
