flooding issues
well guys got my startor changed and have spark again but now she is flooding big time 15-20 pulls and the pipes are full of gas! i'm thinking float height and i do understand how to set it.But i don't know how to tell if my needle and seats are good or is there other stuff to check?I've cheked to see if the chokes were stuck but they seem fine, the throttle also seems ok but haven't got into the carbs yet.just not sure how to check my needle and seats.thanks john

Take the bowl off, now with a piece of fuel line, preferably clean, attached to the inlet, gently blow air into the hose. If you push the float up with your finger, you will feel the air stop blowing through as the needle closes.
Also be sure the plunger for the choke or enrichment circuit is moving up and down freely and closing of the circuit. If you look down the hole in the front of the carb with a light, you should see it move as you move the lever.

had the same thing happen to mine and the fuel pump diaphram had a hole in it and the gas drains into the bottom end of the motor. Mine was on one side and one pipe filled with fuel. I rebuilt both fuel pumps since and all is good fuel wise.
