considering purchasing an 83 to 85 vmax

Post by tvh »

I'm new to this forum and want to purchase a vmax. I have always considered them yamahas holy grail back in the day as many of my friends had them and I always wanted one. What do I watch out for? What do I look for? What can i expect to pay for a good machine? Any advice is appreciated. I currently have 4 srvs and love them, but a vintage vmax would really be cool. Thanks.

I see some familiar names here from the srv forum.

Chuck, as I visit this site I'm learning the full magnitude of it, you can't grasp it all in just a few visits, you don't just provide a place for advice but you have tons of available parts! And reasonable too. Very cool :) Saw the seats the other day...nice stuff! Wish you lived closer.
