Oil Light Stays ON

Post by Donnie »

Hello all.

It's been a long time. Finally enough snow to go out and ride in my area, however, each time I go out, something else breaks.

Currently trying to figure out why my OIL light stays on in the gauges.

I have oil in the jug and have checked the connector. I have also tried cycling the brake lever several times, yet haven't done any digging into the brake light switch itself.

What else could cause the OIL light to stay on all the time?

Thanks

Donnie

Hi, Donnie it has been awhile.... pull the oil sensor out of the tank since, I believe it is just a float shake it back and forth you should hear it move and you could check continuity with in up right and then flip it over and check again.

A bad tail light ground could cause the problem. If removing the tail/brake light bulb shuts off the low oil light you will know.
