Cheapest way to go faster is to jack up the radiator cap and drive a Vmax-4 under it. If the 540 it is proper tune and you still want more there is no bigger bang for the buck and still be riding a Vmax.

The 540 is a great sled but mods are pricy and can be troublesome for trail. Tuned up right to stock spec is about as good as it gets. Yamaha didn't leave much room for improvment on them.
