Replacing original 102C

Post by Marc Machine »

If I buy a new 108 EXP for my 83 Vmax with A-3 weights and a silver spring can I leave my secondary clutch as is or do I need to make changes to it also.
I didn't think you could replace the 102 because it was specifically made to operate with the factory secondary, a 108 has a larger diameter, no?

108 0n a vmax

Post by srxvmax50 »

the comet one 0 eight is a good choice for the vmax. it is better built and has a broader shift range than the one O two. yeah its true that in order to realize its better clutchable band you must modify the driven torgue converter somewhat in order to complement it. Go back to my contributions and read more about it. Remember that I am coming from the old days and that for sure there is a better combo available. Altogether it's all about kicking some___, YAMAHA STYLE.
