i have mine twisted as tight as i can get it, for circle track racing.... it pulls a major holeshot on the 600's
My airbox is held on by one screw, not because Im lazy but because it is less weight!

Tony.. B-2 is the best starting point, that is 60 degrees most Stock sleds seem to work best around this setting. I think you will find somewhere between 60 - 80 degrees will work best for your sled. For some reason I think I used C-3 when I had the ported cylinders on mine. Getting old and harder to remember!! lol

CRAZY JEFF. 1983 TECH MANUAL I HAVE SAYS B-2 @ 60 DEGREE WITH 8M6 BELT. THAN ITS SAYS STOCK SETTING (c-2) FOR LOW SNOW/ COLD ICE CONDITIONS. I AM GONNA TEST AND SEE. B-2 IS WHERE ITS GOING IF RPM IS LOW. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Tony You are right there is a lot of confusion on ALL the 83 Vmax specs, sounds like Yamaha tested right up to the last minute.

Tony are u setting it for drag or top speed I set my 81 at c2 with your helix in it and a gained 5mph over stock setting I ran this back to back in 1000 feet who cut this helix for you? It works talk soon kenny

Tony that helix cost me more than two grand to get it when u get a chance can u post the rpm spec for the 82 srx
