Its in a book its the polaris gearing chart if i can find it online i,ll post it. My buddie has the polaris service manual for a whole bunch of models and makes I think it said stock 18/33 is around 91.4 M.P.H. at 8000 rpm I know the Vmax is above 8000 but 8000 is in near the top H.P. it can get. Tks Chuck i was beginning to wonder if anyone would let me in on there little secrets of tuning . If your getting lightning blue spark, And its getting fuel and the main jets arent pluged, i would think that maybe a clutch issue or some bad bearings in the driveline, jackshaft , suspension. Chaincase gearing 17/33 or 18/33 whats your opinion???

Just wondering what people are running i have 18/33 right now and have acquired a 17/29 and the chain to match from a phazer as they are the same.I,m thinking of using the 17/33 In my understanding it should free up some resistance on the motor, lower the top speed by a few and make you hang on alot...

Ok i,m just wondering what the ground wires are that are attatched to the spark plug wires on the picture you have here. Is that a different ignition coil or something, I never seen that on a sled before?????

I,m trying to find the bearing part numbers for the crankshaft on the vmax. What i need is the numbers off the bearings themselves, not Yamaha part numbers . If you can afford it i would highly reccomend rebuilding the crank you have. A good friend of mine rebuilds them hes a licenced machinist. There has been many cranks worked on at his shop and i have actually helped him do quite a few, i dont do this kinda work on my own though! None have ever come b...

thanks chuck i emailed him about it. It doesnt hurt to have a spare and they are so damn expensive to buy new. My sled runs but it has clutching issues i,m working on now. Its A Ypz Primary so i gotta experiment with it.
