I have an 85 flywheel and it looks the same. Does anyone know if the handwarmer wire will work then?
Thanks
Donnie

Well that isn't the news I wanted to hear. I di have another set of clyinders, but they are sleeved. Do you see any problems running sleeved cylinders with Wiseco pistons? I will need to look at them carefully too as I think there was a reason why I didn't want to use them. I haven't torqued the eng...

Cylinder Question
I just put my new cylinders in place and wanted to run a question past everyone before I finish the install. The cylinders I bought have had the bridge divider cut out of the intake side facing the carbs. How, if any will this affect the running of the sled? It doesn't appear as if any other modific...

Stator Swap
Hey all,
Can I swap my '83 stator with the newer one that has the extra wire for hand warmers without any other changes?
Thanks

Pulse Pipe Material
Hey everyone. I am in the process of putting the finishing touches on my '83 Vmax engine rebuild after the stuck thermostat melted down the left piston. When I took the engine out of the sled, the right side pulse pipe to the fuel pump cracked down near the engine block. It is now too short to reach...

Thanks opsled... here's an updated set of info. The wires were so dirty that I couldn't tell what the colors were, so I cleaned them until I could actually make out the colors. I checked the stator as well as I could but I am still running into trouble. First thing is that the article index and the message provided talk about a yellow/black wire. I don't have one. The closest I have is white/black. Are they the same? Also, my brown/red combo came up at 253 ohms and the cha...

Stator Check
I picked up a stator to use in my '83 Vmax and need some help. The unit was untested so I am not sure if it is any good. There are six wires with female connectors ( white, white with blue, white with green, white with red, red, and purple ) and one male connector ( black ) A few questions. Is this ...

Yeah, all of February is gone with my carbs that kept leaking, the flywheel that won't come off ( and still won't ). It would be nice to have them back, but I am sure we will be discussing the same general topics again in time. It's just too bad that a few dumb people posting garbage messed this all...

After being in water for over an hour, the floats did not sink or take in any water. I shook them to hear any water inside and there was none. I guess we are to just two possibilities so far unless someone comes up with something else. Those are 1. Float was stuck and not closing the needle 2. Fuel ...

Awwww man... I gave up sucking gas a few years ago after the doctors found out I had Dain Bramage. That doesn't sound like a pleasant way to go. But if I have to, I guess I could take one for the team... or I might just hook up a nice clear long hose and have a bend in it so the gas only goes into t...

The floats are out and in the sink under a glass submerged to see if they sink. I am not seeing any air bubbles coming from them, so they might be OK. I did notice that one of them seemed to stick a little as I was sliding it on the shaft in the float bowl. If only one float came up, I can see how t...
