Re: '81 SRX reverse cam secondary

I used a new Polaris on mine and cut the 83 sec to open more. Phil had a post on here somewhere which turned me on to the trick.

Did some riding yesterday for the first time with the temp gauge set up and worked perfectly Spent most of the time on a lake (no snow really around here) and was nice to see when I need to spin the track and kick up some ice on the coolers. Also first ride with the 1 in paddle Chamoplast Hacksaw tr...

Re: Powerbloc in my 81 SRX

Your kinda missing the boat here, yes engagement is important but when racing, thats over in a tenth or two. Whats most important is holding your engine right on the rpm target for the length of the run. That is a function on a comet or Pol. of the arms and their profile. IDK how or even if, that ca...

Re: '81 SRX bog

I went through some hard times also with mine. Much the same problems but not every time I ran it. I replaced everything, rebuilt the first engine, then finally replaced with a different one. The problem turned out to be a wire in the loom that was broken inside but not through the outside colored p...

Re: Help Figuring out Registration Origin

In Wi. it was even easier for me. I had lost the cards for a sled. Here they just ran the number, as long as it didn't show as stolen or any liens on it, they just issued me a new card. As with everything in Wi, much has to deal with "IF" you got a counter worker who actually wanted to hel...

Yup, haven't been to Walmart, their pretty trashy here in the city, but local chain, Fleet Farm had Dayco Max belts last year around 50 bucks.
My V Max now takes a belt off a Pol 500, so I have plenty of spares off my kids F500 sled

Re: Ignition Issues

I did mine by loosening everything up them just lifting up the right side and putting a block under it. Didn't have to deal with clutch and wiring, don't think I even drained water, it was a few years ago.

Re: VooDoo Max

Local stock car supply place here. Just a T for a 1 in line and the housing is made for auto temp gauges. 38 bucks total cost The other gauge is a MyChron 3 Gold. Standard stuff for kart racing where we now all use MyChron 4's, but I moved our older ones onto my sleds From the top to the bottom, the...

Re: VooDoo Max

Way back when I first got this thing I went through 2 different OEM temp gauges, then tried a known working Autometer gauge. None work and alot of people seemed to have that problem. Once I pulled the engine out and looked at it, looks to me like there is no reason any real water flow is going to tr...
